George Foreman Grill
This is the easiest and fastest way to cook a hot dog. Open up the lid to your George Foreman grill. Lay your hot dog on the grill. Shut the lid. Plug it in. You’ll have a perfectly grilled hot dog in just 5 -7 minutes.
2. Fry Pan
It’s chef’s choice on this one:
a. Heat a little cooking oil in the pan and then lay the hot dog in the pan to fry.
b. Heat butter in the pan and then lay the hot dog in the pan to fry.
c. Add a little water to the bottom of the pan and then lay the hot dog in the pan to fry.
d. Fry the hot dog in a dry pan.
Whichever method you choose you need to fry the hot dog until it’s blackened on each side. You can cut a slit in the hot dog first if you prefer but the hot dog will stay moister if you don’t cut it.
3. Toaster Oven
Preheat toaster oven at 350 degrees. Line the toaster pan with foil. Lay the hot dogs on pan and place it in oven for 4-7 minutes.
Fill a sauce pan with water and bring to a boil. Add the hot dogs. Boil in water for 4-8 minutes.
Roast In The Oven
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slit one side of each hot dog. Line baking pan with foil and lay hot dogs in pan. Cook uncovered for 15 minutes.
Fire up the grill. Lay the hot dogs on the grill. Cook turning the hot dogs on all sides until blackened.
Place the hot dogs in a microwave safe bowl. Cover with water to fill just half the bowl. Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes. Cool for one minute before placing in bun. You can also microwave a hot dog on a plate with no water but it’s best to slit it first.
8. Oven Broil
Move your oven rack to the second setting from the top of the oven. Line a sheet pan with foil. Spray non-stick spray on the foil. Line hot dogs on the foil-lined pan. Set your oven to Broil. Place the pan on the oven rack. Leave the oven door ajar. Broil for 1-2 minutes per side. Note: do not split the hot dogs before broiling as this will make them dry out.
Over A Campfire
Prepare your campfire. Place hot dogs on a stick or skewer. Hold hot dogs over the fire until blackened on both sides.
