How often do you fill your spiritual tank?
Several times a week?
Only on Sundays?
As I grabbed my tablet for a few minutes of relaxation before the evening started, I found it was only charged at 17%. I knew I’d only have a few minutes of use before it ran out of juice so I quickly plugged it into a power source to charge it up.
That seems to be the way my days go, too. If I don’t get charged up on the Word of God daily, I quickly run out of juice. I become spiritually crippled. I put God on the back burner and focus on the cares of this world instead.
Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” If I don’t equip myself through the reading of the Word I’ll go through the day only partially charged. My spiritual perception won’t be as sharp and I’ll be prone to make decisions without consulting the Lord first.
Luke 11:28 says we are blessed when we hear the Word of God and obey it. When we don’t read the Word daily, we miss out on a blessing. Don’t let your spiritual battery run down. Get charged up today!
